For centuries, stories have been passed from one generation to the next, carried on the lips of bards and the strings of minstrels. Seelie Court endeavors to keep this proud legacy alive with a rich mix of music that spans four centuries. Many of these tunes you recognize - some of them you won't.

By keeping this music alive we pass on the stories and culture of the generations who came before us. Our repertoire includes many Irish, Scottish and English traditional tunes, a few Irish, Scottish and English tunes that are not so traditional, songs from the Renaissance and Middle ages, shanty tunes from the great age of sail, shanty tunes from the not so great age of sail, American folk tunes from the last few centuries, ballads, drinking songs, dancin' tunes and a few originals just to mix it up a bit.

Out of the Mouths of Babes...
Perhaps one of the best ways for us to explain what we do is to pass on the kind, strange and sometimes all too telling comments of our fans and friends. If you have any comments you would like added, please email Jon and we'll make sure they get in

"Listened to it [Raise Up A Glass] last night...great stuff, particularly like the last song, Raise Up A Glass.
You have, among other things, a great natural sense of irish melodic structure, so the songs you've written come off as "in the tradition" in a really good way. All the best." - Gregory Grene, the Prodiglas

"You guys Rock!!!! I would love to spend my life in your Celtic Mosh Pit!!" - mrk

My family and I have listened to it [Raise Up A Glass] more times than I can count, so many times that my
daughter, soon to be eight, immediately recognizes the
songs after just a few notes. The songs never fail to lift
my spirits no matter how many times that I hear them.
- Randy

"The group consistently demonstrates a love of the music that they play, and sheer pleasure in presenting it to an audience. Seelie Court continues to embrace the traditional songs of England, Scotland, Ireland, and the Great Northwest, but they possess the distinct ability to wrap a new twist around each one to create their own Whoopty sound. " - Percy

" Jon is a gifted songwriter who knows how write a piece of music that will utilize the talents of the whole group, creating a song that sounds as if it's been around for several hundred years. It's a toetapping, hand clapping, muppeacious good time.
